Project Description:

Repair four (4) sinkholes that began forming in front of four (4) At Grade Inlet structures, the sinkholes formed due to an array of issues including failed joints inside the Reinforced Concrete Pipes (RCP) draining into two of the inlets, on these inlets the RCP was excavated to expose the separated joints. The joints were realigned, patched and backfilled. The third inlet had several missing bricks around the frame and cover, the outside of the inlet was excavated the missing bricks replaced and the interior of the inlet was parged. The fourth inlet had a 6" drain pipe connecting into the side of the inlet, the outside wall was excavated down to the drain pipe and no additional drain pipe was uncovered. This area was backfilled and the connection point was filled, the asphalt was replaced at each of the inlets and the sediment and debris inside the inlets were also removed.
